Acampamento dos Anjos (Camp of Angels) is an intervention composed of tents of various colors installed vertically on the architecture of buildings and constructions.
Since 2002, I’ve been pursuing this spiritually-driven work inspired by a reading of Psalm 34:8: “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them”.
The suggestion of angels camping in suspended sites and the notion of the protection they extend permeate the concept of the work, considered the poetic apex of my interventions. At night, lights inside the tents transform the composition, reminding us that we can always take solace in art.
In Brazil, the work was awarded by the Santa Catarina Museum of Art and the Paraná Museum of Contemporary Art. Abroad, it featured at exhibitions in France (Paris and Metz), Switzerland (Freiburg and Nyon) and Cuba (Havana).
